Peyton, here.
Noticed how I hadn’t updated my blog, or even my website, in over a year?
Wanna know why?
First, I got married.
Then, I found out I was pregnant!
Then, I had a miscarriage…
Then, I got pregnant again and we hosted our wedding Celebration 6 months later & announced our pregnancy.
Then, we bought a house and moved 3 weeks before having my baby.
Then, I HAD A BABY!
Lots happened!
So, in a nutshell, I took a year off to make a few life changes.

Lenore “Lenny” Rose McAskill was born April 6, 2022, at 5:41 AM at 5lbs (taken home at 4lbs). My delivery with her was incredible- I won’t go into the details- but it definitely made everything worth it.
Lenny is the dearest little human. I love her so much. So far, being a mom is one of the hardest things I’ve had to do. But, I think there are a lot of factors that go into play when feeling like parenthood is hard- finances, career stability, mental health, physical health, etc.

To be frank, though, having a baby took a huge toll on my business. I was sick during my entire pregnancy- 10 months, every single day. Delivery was amazing, but my body did not do well during pregnancy.
I decided after having Lenny, I would take a step back from my business and focus on her. Honestly, this was the best decision I could have made. I suffered from postpartum depression after my pregnancy- trying to get my body back into health plus trying to think about business- was truly the most difficult thing to do.

Now that Lenny is 9 months, my husband and I are finally getting back into gear. He is joining my business to help with specific areas in business, which will be so helpful!! We are focusing on amplifying my business, focusing on Weddings, and all the milestones that come with building a family. We will be focusing on the DMV (D.C., Maryland, Virginia) area, our locals (Frederick County, MD and Washington Countym MD) and beyond (Baltimore, West Virginia, Tennesse, and anywhere you please!).

We hope to have an amazing year, and future, with photography.
We aspire to build a beautiful business that is genuine and valuable to both us, the owners, and YOU, our clients.
Our mission is to document precious milestones, stemming from starting a family, in a bold, romantic, and timeless style- and with confidence, will be cherished forever.
