Hey journal,

I’m babysitting my nephew today while trying to work at the same time and it’s all funny. I’m literally multi-tasking milk spills and journal creating. Props to parents.

Right before Halloween I posted a giveaway via Instagram for a free Spooky Boudoir Mini session. I let the Instagram post gain contestants for 2 days and then I drew a name out of my black witch hat at 9:00am the next morning. Bethany, of @MarketThirtySeven, won the boudoir mini giveaway and had her session Sunday October 27, 2019 with me.

I was super excited because I learned Bethany is the bride of a 2020 wedding I will be second shooting under my lovely Dominque Doucette. Bethany was an easy chick to work with and photographed beautifully- can’t wait to photograph her again, next year on her wedding day!

During Bethany’s boudoir session, I photographed in color. However, with every session I duplicate all the images into my b&w edits. I LOVE B&W, especially in boudoir sessions. For this session, I only wanted to share the b&w images on my blog because I have an ideas I’ve been thinking about doing for awhile which is Black and White Boudoir Mini sessions! I love the idea of an all black and white boudoir session and I will be offering them within The Barn Loft Studio. I’ve been painting a section of the barn and it will have a white floor, while wall on wheels, and a ton of white accessories like faux fur blankets, pillows, and rug. Like, this will be the ultimate white room for boudoir! I hope to have it done soon, and once I do, I will release a date for the b&w boudoir minis!
